Stewardship

For more than a century, Saint James School has made parochial education a viable choice for tens of thousands of families.

Administered for over 80 years by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHMs), Saint James provide the best educational value in a Christ-centered environment. Recognized in 1999 as a US Department of Education Blue Ribbon School (the first parochial school in our diocese to receive this honor), we have maintained the academic quality which garnered us this award.

As proof of this, Saint James was named one of the Top Ten Schools in Virginia by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth in 2010. This designation was based on our results on the National Terra Nova tests.

These accolades were not won without the support and dedication of our pastors, principals, faculty, staff and most importantly, our generous parents and alumni. There financial support has allowed Saint James to thrive. While many parochial schools in our country are closing, Saint James remains a vibrant and active part of our community.

Why Should I Give?

Your gift to Saint James will make a real difference in the lives of our students. We recognize that there are many worthy causes deserving support. But at Saint James, we build the educational and moral foundation (together with our parents) which gives ours students the basis to succeed in our challenging secondary schools.

It is a way to honor our past

It makes a tangible difference in the present

It is an investment in the future. When so much in our world is uncertain, a gift to Saint James provides current and future students the materials they need to be successful in life.
