Welcome from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Saint James Catholic School community!  I am very proud and happy to say that I am the principal of this wonderful school. Being a part of the Saint James Catholic School community means being part of this warm and welcoming family. We are proud of our Catholic spirituality and academic excellence that we have maintained for more than 100 years. Our school is administered by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary from Immaculata, PA who work with a dedicated faculty and staff to enrich the lives of our students within the Diocese of Arlington.

Saint James Catholic School has much to offer our students and families. Religion classes, which focus on the teachings of the Catholic Church as well as Gospel Living, are a part of our everyday curriculum and life. We strive to bring our Catholic Faith to life in the heart of each member of our school community. Together we help each other grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ and to see Him in all those we meet each day.

I invite you to visit this website and explore the curriculum for both the elementary and middle school.  The curriculum is developed by the Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Arlington.  No matter the subject area, our goal is to help our students be collaborative, creative, and critical thinkers for the 21st Century.  After reviewing our website, I invite you to come and see our school yourselves. Here you will find an outstanding group of students and teachers alike, working together to build life-long learners.

You are going to love being a part of this school community – a community where we ignite the world with the Light of Jesus Christ– a community where we care about and look out for each other – a community that needs and welcomes you. Become a Saint James’ Rocket today!

I look forward to getting to know you and welcoming you to Saint James School! Go Rockets! Ignite the world!

Saint James is very special to all of us. It is an honor and privilege to work with parents and teachers as we help our students grow into mature Catholic adults ready to meet the challenges of the future. Take time to visit our school through our website, but more importantly, take time to visit our school in person.
